Up-and-Coming Artist ShowTime
ShowTime is a rapper born and raised in Harlem, NYC. ShowTime had the opportunity to work with many well known hip hop artist such as Doug E. Fresh, GrandMaster Melle Mel from the Furious Five, Mr. Cheeks and DJ Drewski from Hot 97. The name ShowTime was originally given to his father who was a Hip Hop dancer apart of the legendary group the IBM dancers. They performed all over, featured in multiple Hip Hop music videos and even toured with some New York legends such as Nice N Smooth and Akinyele. ShowTime father was shot and killed when he was eight-years-old so when ShowTime started taking rap serious it was only right for him carry on the legacy of that name. When asked “what inspired you to start rapping and when did you first start rapping?” ShowTime responded with “Rap was something I’ve always done for fun. I’ve been a Hip Hop fan since a little kid. I started recording in high school, stopped for a while and then begin taking it serious after completing my degree in 2016. My personal life story inspired me to start taking it serious. I just knew and felt like it was my time to start my music journey so here I am.” Currently ShowTime is promoting his new mixtape “3rd Period” it’s a sequel to his previous mixtapes. ShowTime also have a single out from the mixtape named “Flowerz” which is available on all digital platforms and the music video is on YouTube now!
